Face-to-Face Stakeholder Consultations

From September 2011 to January 2012, ten consultations and one meeting took place across Canada to gather input to the Active Canada 20/20 Strategy. Input was received from 12 provinces/territories, the exception being Nunavut. Input was received from Nunavut through the online consultation survey.  Participants were from national, provincial and local sport and physical activity organizations, health promotion, industry and large employers, education and government.

We have posted the rough notes (notes taken on the flip charts during the consultations) for your information, to ensure transparency of the process and as a way to share some of the thoughts from your colleagues across the country.  These notes, along with notes prepared after the consultations and feedback from the online survey, served to inform the final draft of the Active Canada 20/20 Strategy. The Active Canada 20/20 Steering Committee reviewed the input from all of the consultations (online and face-to-face) and made changes based on the most consistent feedback received.
